Psalm 147:8

“Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.” (NASB)

STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS

“Who covers (kacah: hides, conceals, clothed) the heavens with clouds, Who provides (kuwn: prepares, establishes, directs, readies) rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow (tsamach: spring forth, spring up) on the mountains.” (NASB)

SUMMARY

The Lord clothed the heavens with clouds. The Lord prepares and provides rain for the earth. The Lord makes grass to spring forth upon the mountains.

MEDITATION

In our part of the country, it has been raining large amounts for days now. For some time over the last 24 months, we were in a serious drought, but it seems that all is on its way back to normal, should this rain continue. Is this not just like life? There are times when we feel dry and barren and in need of spiritual rain. Today I say may it be in the spiritual as it is in the natural for you. The LORD sends the rains and causes new life to grow. Lift your hands and praise the Giver of the rain! All that exists is within His mighty hand.
