Hebrews 2:1

“…We must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it.” (NASB)

STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS

“…We must pay much closer (perissoteros: more abundantly, more exceedingly, much more, more frequent) attention (prosecho: give heed to, bring near, care for, attend to, addicted to, devote thought and effort) to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away (pararrhueo: carried by, pass by, slip away) from it.”

SUMMARY

We must pay much closer attention and devote much thought and effort to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away and allow it to pass by.

MEDITATION

Today, aggressively grab hold to Truth. Be attentive to what is going on around you in spiritual realms. In a time when people seem to pay little attention to the battle that is against principalities and powers unseen, will you look deeper and see? We must be cautious to not allow ourselves to be carried away, but rather we must give heed to the Truth that we have been given in God’s Word. Today, may the Body of Christ awaken and walk with eyes wide open, ready to see and hear what the Spirit is saying in this hour.
