“Let brotherly love continue.” (NASB)
STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS
“Let brotherly love (Philadelphia: brotherly kindness, love of the; love which Christians cherish for each other as brethren) continue (meno: abide, remain, endure, be held, never perish or fade).”
Let brotherly kindness and love be cherished and never fade away.
Love has many facets. Love is being truly concerned for your brother. Love is being honest when the truth is painful. Love is knowing when to be gentle and when to be firm. Love is, as we see here, to be cherished regarding others in the Body of Christ. Today, may we value one another and truly edify the Body. Not in some vain “How are you? Great… fine thanks.” relationship but in true transparency and vulnerability – real relationship. It is time the Body of Christ sees Her need for truly godly relationships. Today, in your life, may brotherly love continue.
