SUMMARY
Who has understood the reasoning of the Lord? Who has been His advisor and given Him counsel?
MEDITATION
Has anyone advised God today? Has He asked anyone for some advice? I think not. The LORD is in need of no thing and no one. He is fully capable within Himself to execute what He desires at any moment. The great thing however is that He chooses to interact with us, listen to our pleas and use us to carry out His will. He has willingly created us capable of interacting with Him. Although I know that I could never fully understand and grasp the mind of the LORD while I'm in this body of flesh, I daily strive to know Him more. By walking in holiness, studying His Word and seeking His face, I continue to know more and more of my unfathomable Father. Today, take advantage of the opportunties to interact with your Creator. His attributes are endless.

Today I read the news headlines and see nearly the entire world going their own way. It saddens me so, it really does. I cannot help but feel the heart of God when I see the masses willingly defying Him and reveling in their flesh and all that this earth has to offer. This is not about condemnation, this is about facing the fact that we are a people in need of mercy. Would you join me today in pleading for God’s mercy to fall upon mankind? LORD, we are Your beautiful creation yet we have abandoned You, show us pity and be gracious. Pour out Your mercy today, though undeserving are we all. For some reason, many people have a hard time when approaching the topic of healing. It’s somehow been deemed as “not for today” because others have abused and perverted it throughout the years. However, when looking at the text alone, we see that “well” is the same word used to describe salvation (sozo). It is wholeness, wellness, completeness. In this verse it stands out to me that the LORD is the trainer, if you will, but it is my hands that battle and my arms that that do the breaking of the bronze. We must realize that it is not about our greatness or our personal abilities, but it is we who do the action on His behalf. Few seem to see that they are in a battle that needs trained for. Would the LORD desire to train us for a war if one didn't even exist? So many Believers speak of feeling spiritually puny and ineffective in their walk. I believe it is because we’ve not understood that we need to be trained by our King. He is the skillful Instructor and we are His mighty army, here to carry out His plans and agendas. Today, will you be trained for battle by the King?

My desire is to approach everything that I do seated in the covering of my Father. It is not a cowering in fear and wait dwelling but rather a place of strength and victory! Today, assess where you’re seated and seek to be found under the shadow of His mighty wings.

MEDITATION
I catch a lot of flack sometimes for saying the things that I do. No one likes to hear that the way they are living might actually not be what they thought it was. I am encouraged with the words of Jesus as He was not interested in whether or not people received His message. How was this so? Was He cold-hearted or disinterested in them personally? Of course not. He saw the greater purpose. His message was His Father’s message. His message was upheld and defined by Jehovah God and if anyone had issue with it, they could talk to Him about it. I am slowly adopting this same approach in my life. My message is not my own. My agenda is not my agenda. I am one who has been sent and has been given a message to proclaim. Today, I encourage you to only speak the Father’s message and opinions, without any thought of result or consequence. I believe that the Body of Christ will be a whole lot better off for it if we do.

I believe that it is time we all assess who and what we partner with in our Christian walk. Today, I choose to be intimately connected with wisdom and call understanding and discernment my close relatives. It is a choice that is to be made, in every situation. One can only possess godly wisdom by walking according to the Spirit. Today, would you join with me in doing just that? May we, the Body of Christ, walk hand in hand with wisdom as our intimate friend.

I had yet another dream last night where the LORD is urging me to prepare for what is to come. Much is stirring right now among Believers as several well known Christian leaders share what they feel is on the horizon for this nation and the world. Some state that judgment and wrath are coming and others feel it is all unnecessary fear and panic. I personally view it like this. If I have been given the foreknowledge of things to come and I do not inform and warn others, then it I am a fool. People will believe what they will. I will turn my gaze and my ears to the heavens. I will watch. I will pray. I will hear what my Father is speaking of tomorrow’s events and declare it as so without wavering. My charge is for you to go to the Word to form your own view on the matter. You hear, you see. Only then will one truly know what the Spirit is truly saying in this hour.

We cannot go our own ways, making up our own spiritual guidelines and expect to walk in intimacy with the LORD. He gave us instruction in His Word and has sent the Holy Spirit to guide us. It is our responsibility to be holy as He is holy. Today, seek righteousness. Above all else, be found upright in the eyes of the LORD.

MEDITATION
Recently I was walking through the woods quite briskly as I came up on a large fallen tree that was laying across the forest floor. I simply saw it ahead, proceeded down my path and jumped upon it in order to pass over it. What I was unaware of was that it was completely soft and rotted out. So, when I landed on it in order to springboard down the path, it crushed beneath my feet. I instantly thought of the spiritual metaphors. This once mighty tree had been uprooted long ago and it had fallen. After laying there dormant and disconnected from its life-giving roots, it had become lifeless, frail and could no longer stand tall and be what it once was. I see things spiritually in the same manner. When one is uprooted from the LORD, the Water, the life-giving Source, spiritual death begins. Years of such disconnect will make one a shell of what they were created to be. Also, be sure that what you are is truly alive. On the outside, the tree appeared to be strong, but in fact was hollow. Today, be assured that you are planted by the Source of life. Establish roots that go deep in Him. He alone keeps us alive.

Likewise, the Word is only beneficial for those who hearken Its voice and obey Its commands. It is an active interaction that we can have and the result is that we will be supremely blessed. Today, be diligent to consider and understand the Word of God and then, when given the opportunity, observe Its instruction.

MEDITATION
We live in an era of Christianity where good equals godly, wealth equals blessing and popular equals worthy of following. In the midst of this, I say where are those who walk with spiritual discernment? Scores of Christians empty shelves of best-selling books, order the latest sermons from mega church pastors and follow the latest prophetic trends, but where is the discernment? Of course not all is bad and I believe that it is good to wisely gather information, but likewise, not all is good either. We must be wise and approach everything that we allow to form our opinions and beliefs to be truly of the LORD. To blindly assume that everything that has a “Christian” label is godly is just plain ignorantly naïve. May it not be so for the Body of Christ! Today, lay all that you give time and attention to beside the Word of God. Allow the Holy Spirit to filter all that you look into and consume. Today, consider your steps.

Nehemiah 8:10b
“The joy of the LORD is your strength.” (NASB)
STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS
“The joy (chedvah: rejoicing, gladness) of the LORD is your strength (ma`owz: fortress, rock, place of safety, protection, refuge, stronghold).”
SUMMARY
The joy and gladness of the LORD is your rock and fortress, your place of safety and strength.
MEDITATION
If the joy of the LORD is our strength, then one can also assume that one who lacks the joy of the LORD also lacks strength. Joy is deeper than feelings or emotions and is not about whether you smile all the time or not. It is a state of resting in the Father and being elated in the fact that He chooses to reside with you. I am truly heartbroken for those that I see who have seemingly allowed the dark and depressing things of the world to run off their joy. In good things, in gladness, in my rejoicing I reside in the LORD’s protection and safety – He is my fortress. I personally believe that in this place of refuge, joy abounds because I am literally protected from all of the sadness and depressions of life for He is my fortress. Today, be filled with rejoicing! Be overwhelmed with gladness! Keep your gaze above for the LORD is your strength and refuge.

“You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples.” (NASB)

“You are the God who works (`asah: makes, executes, performs, fashions, ordains, institutes, produces) wonders (pele': wonderful, marvelous, extraordinary, acts of judgment and redemption); You have made known (yada`: shown, told; made to see, understand and perceive; declared, revealed) Your strength (`oz or `owz: power and might) among the peoples.”
SUMMARY
You are the God who produces and performs marvelous wonders; You have revealed your strength, power and might to all peoples.
MEDITATION
The question is not if God is making Himself known, it is a matter of whether or not we notice it. Whenever I wonder why God doesn’t seem to perform such tangible and miraculous works today as I read that He did in the Word, I always arrive at the same conclusion. It is not He who changed, it is us. Throughout history I believe that mankind as a whole has expected less and less of God’s wonders to be seen in their lifetime. I desire to revive, if you will, this great expectation. I long for the LORD to reveal Himself to the nations and to be seen for Who He is. Will you join me today in anticipating His wondrous works to be seen by all nations and all peoples? Today, at every opportunity, be found looking for His handiwork and seeking out His marvelous acts - they are not hard to find.
