“The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us...” (NASB)
STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS
“The LORD has been mindful (zakar: remembered, mentioned, remembrance, record, call to mind, be thought of, to make a memorial, make remembrance) of us; He will bless us...”
SUMMARY
The LORD has made a memorial and remembrance of us, he has called us to mind and thought of us; He will bless us.
MEDITATION
I often wonder, why in the world does God even bother with us? Even we, who claim to know Him and live for Him, are often disappointingly disobedient and stubborn. We ignore His advice, forsake His plans and go our own ways. Yet He still, time and time again, remembers His people. LORD, You are truly astonishing. Today, in obedience or disobedience – in willingness or stubbornness – in right or in wrong, I praise You for Your remembrance of me. There is noone like You.
