1 Corinthians 3:16

“Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (NASB)

STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS

“Do you not know that you are a temple (naos: shrine, sanctuary, consisting of the Holy place and the Holy of Holies) of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

SUMMARY

Do you not know that you are a temple, a sanctuary of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

MEDITATION

It would seem that so few Believers live with this as reality. God no longer dwells in temples and buildings made with brick and mortar. He has chosen to indwell His people. We are His holy dwelling. We are His holy place. In Christ, He deemed us worthy of His presence. Today, be careful not to defile the temple of God. Keep the corners swept out and the furnishings shiny and beautiful, for within you, God Himself dwells.
