2 Timothy 2:13

“If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” (NASB)

STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS

“If we are faithless (apisteo: believing not, to betray a trust, unfaithful, disbelieving), He remains faithful (pistos: believing, true, sure, reliable), for He cannot deny (anemia: refuse, disregard his own interests or prove false to) Himself.”

SUMMARY

Even when we are unfaithful and untrustworthy, He remains always faithful for He cannot disregard and refuse Himself which indwells us.

MEDITATION

This gives the old adage, "God is faithful" such a deeper meaning, doesn't it? When we despised Him, He loved us. When we ran from Him, He pursued. When we break promises, He is faithful to His word. Praise God today for His faithfulness.
