"For we walk by faith, not by sight" (NASB)
STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS
"For we walk (peripateo: go about, be occupied, make one's way, progress, conduct one's self) by faith (the conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ; a strong conviction or belief that Jesus is the Messiah, through whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God; the religious beliefs of Christians; belief with the predominate idea of trust in God), not by sight (eidos: external or outward appearance)."
SUMMARY
For we go about and conduct ourselves by faith that God is in control, not by the way things look to my natural eyes.
MEDITATION
Faith. The single-most thing that is lacking in all of our lives, in my opinion. Today, the challenge is simple - walk according to what the Word of God states to be so - period. If it says you are healed, you are healed. If it says you are loved, you are loved. If it says to be holy, live holy. Let's simplify today and truly walk by faith alone.
