Psalm 139:13

“For Thou hast possessed my reins: Thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.” (KJV)

STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS

“For Thou hast possessed (qanah: buy, get, purchased, possessor, owner, recover, create) my reins (kilyah: kidneys, seat of emotion and affection): Thou hast covered (cakak: defense, hedge in, joined or weaved together, fence about, overshadowed) me in my mother's womb.”

SUMMARY

For You created and possessed my innermost being – the real me – You have weaved me together and overshadowed me in my mother’s womb.

MEDITATION

I chose this version because I love the way it depicts our origin. We were possessed by God – He, at our inception in Him eons ago, held on to us. He did more than just form us, He intricately weaved us together and overshadowed us. Do you see yourself as one important enough for God to go to such great lengths for? You see, He had indescribable love for you long before He sent Jesus to this earth to redeem you back unto Him. Today, get to know Your Creator better - thank Him for His great love for you.
