“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.” (NASB)
STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS
“Through Him then, let us continually (diapantos: constantly, always) offer (anaphero: offer up, bear, bring up, lead up, carry up) up a sacrifice of praise (ainesis: thank offering) to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks (homologeo: confess, profess, acknowledge, declare, speak out freely, celebrate, praise) to His name.”
SUMMARY
Through Him then, let us always be found offering up a sacrifice of praise and thanks to God, that is, the fruit of our lips that declare what He has done and praise His name.
MEDITATION
After the time when the presence of the LORD vacated the temple and Jesus came to the earth, God no longer desired and required ritualistic worship. Animal sacrifices were done away with – specific duties that were only to be carried out at certain specified times by certain priests were brought to an end. You see, God now desires you to be His temple, His tabernacle, His dwelling. We no longer have to go through steps and rituals, He has made a way in order for us all to continually be in relationship with Him. Today, begin to throw out your “have to’s” and limitations and, moment by moment, live a life that is overrun with praise!
