Psalm 32:7

“You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.” (NASB)

STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS

“You are my hiding place
(cether or cithrah: secret place, covert, covering, protection, shelter); You preserve (natsar: keep, watchmen, observe, watch over, guard) me from trouble; You surround (cabab: about, encompass, encircle, enclose, envelop) me with songs of deliverance (pallet: escape). Selah.”

SUMMARY

You are my secret hiding place, my protection and shelter; You watch over and guard me from trouble; You envelop me with Your songs of deliverance.

MEDITATION

This verse just about gives me chills. It paints such a vivid picture of my protective Father. Whether all that is around me is shaking or whether I’m standing in the midst of the calm, He is my refuge and safety. Many times it is as if I can literally feel Him encompassing me when I walk throughout the day. And when I don’t “feel” anything, I still run to Him because He is my covering and in His care is the only place I desire to reside. Today, I again encourage you to find His secret place. You will never know the vast depths of the love of the Father until you have moved all of yourself into His shelter and protection. It is my home, my abode, my dwelling.
