Acts 10:44

“While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.” (NASB)

STRONGS HEBREW/GREEK ORIGINS

“While Peter was still speaking (laleo: uttering a voice or emitting a sound, faculty of speech, talking, to use words in order to declare one's mind and disclose one's thoughts) these words, the Holy Spirit fell (epipipto: to fall upon, to rush or press upon, to lie upon one, to fall upon one i.e. to seize, take possession of him) upon all (pas: all men, whosoever, everyone) those who were listening (akouo: hear, hearken, give audience, consider what is being or has been said , to understand, perceive the sense of what is said) to the message (logos: word, account, Word which is Christ).”

SUMMARY

While Peter was speaking, the Holy Spirit fell upon everyone that was considering what was being said in his account of Jesus.

MEDITATION

Are your words so filled with your personal account of Christ that it opens the door for the Holy Spirit to fall upon all who are listening? The personal Gospel that we live is where the power lies within us. It’s not reciting some pre-programmed formula and waiting to see what happens. Today, simply live by the Spirit and allow that power to be seen and heard in your life.

If people would just realise that "their testimony" ISN'T just their salvation story..it is a daily telling of what God is doing in their lives TODAY!

...sigh...
